BloodSafe eLearning Australia (BEA) is pleased to announce the release of our much-anticipated new Clinical Transfusion Practice (CTP) courses.

In response to valuable feedback from our stakeholders, the Clinical Transfusion Practice course has been redesigned into five profession-specific courses. This means you only need to complete the course relevant to your profession, providing a more tailored learning experience while significantly reducing the time required to complete the course.

This suite of Clinical Transfusion Practice courses has been designed to provide profession-specific education for healthcare staff involved in transfusion practice. Each course contains content tailored to the responsibilities and scope of practice for the profession(s) chosen.

Please note that the current Clinical Transfusion Practice course and corresponding refresher courses will remain available on the BloodSafe eLearning Australia website until 30 October 2026.

This transition period will allow users currently undertaking the course(s) to complete their assessment and provide organisations with time to prepare for the transition to the new profession-specific learning pathways. After this date, the courses will be retired, and users will be required to commence the new profession-specific course from the beginning when they next need to complete transfusion practice training.

Refresher courses will no longer be available after 30 October 2026. Instead, learners will complete the relevant profession-specific course at a frequency determined by their workplace’s education and training requirements.
